Social Networking

Social networking can have many uses. In the corporate world it can be used as a means of communiation between employees. Not only that but even employers can look at social networking sites to check out possible employees. These technologies can benefit societies by bringing people together that would otherwise not have even spoken. A lot of people with disabilities can also make friends and many people find childhood friends on social networking sites. Social networks enable people with the same interests or disabilities to interact more easily. There is certainly a dark side to social networking because perverts and pedophiles can also access people more easily and it seems as though people have to compromise their privacy now. You may not even have an account but a friend might and they may have compromising pictures of you up where your friends or coworkers can see them. Personally, I think that a lot more employees will be checkin these sites for people they are considering to hire because they can learn a lot about the person. I don't like the loss of privacy that comes with these social networks especially Facebook and Twitter, where people can follow your every move throughout the day. It seems as though the more these technologies evolve, the more privacy is lost. People have even gone from making blogs to vlogs where you can see the person in their personal space (ie: their bedrooms).
